My blog posting hasn’t been consistent, obviously, but at least the running mileage has been. So I’m popping in to recap everything right before I take another break for a week or two.
11/11 – 11/17: 13.1 miles
Two trail runs this week, which is more than I usually manage this time of year. Though I had to cut the second one short because for some reason it didn’t occur to me that warm temperatures would turn the trail into a sheet of ice.

11/18 – 11/24: 13.0 miles
See? Consistent. I didn’t make it to the trails even once this week, though.

11/25 – 12/1: 13.4 miles
This week included a 5K (which I got no photos of), and the local running store’s “run to the tree” event. The ornament I chose from the tree resulted in a $20 gift card.

Also got in another trail run, with much better footing than last time.

12/2 – 12/8: 15.7 miles
There’s a hobbit house on my running route?

Kara got to come on a trail run with me.

And over half the weekly mileage was runsploring here.

12/9 – 12/15: 10.3 miles
I was at a conference all week and actually only ran once. A friend was running 25 miles for her 25th birthday and I joined for two 5-mile laps. I thought about one more, but my legs could not be talked into it.

12/16 – 12/22: 14.0 miles
Back to normal just in time for the holiday dashing to begin.

Oh, San Fran!!!! Did you get an opportunity to run across the bridge? I’ve only been there once (four years ago), and totally loved the city. All the quirky hills were fun 🙂 I love all your beautiful pics…the trees look so pretty in all the snow.

Yep, across the bridge and a bit around the headlands!
I could embrace a white Christmas where you are! San Francisco is my favorite city. We honeymooned there and got to revisit when I ran Big Sur!
This was my first time actually in the city!
Lovely to see you posting again. That ice, though! Eeps! Have fun on the trails in 2020!

Thanks!
Love that the pup got to join for some trail miles, I’m sure she loved that!
She does!
Ooh I loved running over the San Fran bridge! Have done it 2x! I was wondering where you had been. Nice to see you back here. Happy Holidays
I actually didn’t plan to run over the bridge – did it because I found out the bus doesn’t go that far on Sundays!
Oooh, love the Hobbit House. We have a house here that we call the Hobbit House, one of our routes to walk the dogs toward. But it’s not built into a hill like that one!
I don’t know how you guys run on deep snow (even with traction stuff on your shoes). It’ll definitely help strengthen your legs.
This one is not a house-house, I think it’s some type of storage building?
I don’t, usually – it gets packed down really quickly around here.
